The Great Dragonite Fight

This is the one of the many adventures of the 14yr-old female pokemon trainer Tani Amps and her best friend May Flowers. Just for backup info, Tani is from Vermillion city but her aunt gave her plane tickets to Johto for her good grades. She always wears her pink her in one long ponytail along with her favorite outfit, jeans, and her raichu tank top. She currently has 6 pokemon:
Fertility: a bulbasaur like no other. Though stubborn, she is smart and patient and loyal to Tani to the end. She has leader like qualities and wears a miracle seed around her neck. Something is different about this one...
Riley: a wild raichu that helped Tani and Fertility escape a pack of gyarados. he was the leader of a tribe of pikachu and raichu but decided to join Tani. He's a big flirt and wears a bandana on his neck. He calls Bulbasuar Ferty.
Ebony: an eevee that Tani found. she has the unique ability the change to any of her other evolutions and back to eevee again. Ebony actually has a trainer and Tani promised to help her find her. she wears a amulet headband and Riley has a crush on her.
Queenie: a nidorina that evolved after Tani helped her escape from a pack of growlithe. she wears a big pink bow
Jet: a houndour that resents Tani for capturing him. He only obeys because he loves to fight.
Game: a cubone. his mother's last request was for him to find a trainer for him to protect. He's a loner but Ebony likes him
May wears her blue hair straight down with shorts, a tank top, and an official Pokemon League Jacket. May has a smart alec chikorita named Nick, a shy Wigglytuff, a golduck, ghastly, spearow, and butterfree. *pokemon talk in this story due to special tablets taken every 2 weeks. ghost types and slowpokes don't talk because their bodies don't react to the pills. Enjoy:)
"No! Rai! NO!" Riley screamed. He bolted and hid behind a rock in the field.
"Youre actin' like a big baby," Tani replied. It was time for Riley to take Nurse Joy's special elixir for electric types. Riley poked his head above the stone.
"You'd run too if that taste hit your toung." He shivered.
"I'd rather be in a cell of Muk than to get even a whiff of that crap!" Ebony was laying near a small brook next to May.
"You know, for a used to be leader, you are really chicken" she remarked. Nick stood up next to Ebony and waved his leaf in the air.
"Ha, leader?!" he snickered. " That rat couldn't lead a Horsea to water!" May just had to laugh. Tani just shook her head.
"Enough of this. Hey, Fertility!" The bulbasaur was napping in Tani's backpack. Amazing she could fit that giant bulb in there, huh? Fertility crawled out and yawned.
''What is it, Tani?''
Tani bent down and whispered in her ear.
"Listen when I give the signal, wrap up Riley with your vine whip." Fertility rolled her eyes.
"Is he complaining about that medicine again? Gawd! He is such a baby." Riley ears twitched.
"Hey Ferty, what are yall yappin about? Ferty?"
"NOW!" Tani yelled. "BULBAAA!!" Fertility's vines shot out and ensnared the raichu.
"What?! No! Lemme go!" Raichu squirmed wiggled but it was useless. He tried to close his mouth but Tani pried it open and poured the elixer in. Riley swallowed. His face turned as green as Fertility's.
"I.... Hate.... you..." he muttered. Tani laughed.
"Well if you had agreed to take it in pills this would never have happened."
"You know you could avoid all this drama by simply putting it in his food," May suggested.
"My food! Blasphemy!" Riley turned his nose up. Ebony was sunbathing when her ears twitched.
"Tani," her voice turned to a low growl. "Someone's here"
Suddenly a large shadow swept over them, followed by a sonic boom.
"What the?" Tani cried. The boom blew over their picnic spread and their blankets. May's Wigglytuff and Nick tumbled into the stream. Fertility grabbed them and pulled the soaking pokemon out. Dust filled the air.
"Is everyone ok?" Tani yelled. May and the pokemon nodded. After the debris settled, the trainers stood in awe. Before them stood the biggest Dragonite Tani had ever seen. It looked even healthier than the famous dragon tamer Drake. Next to it a boy around their age stood with his arms crossed. He had spikey green hair and wore all black. He smiled.
"i see you like my Dragonite." he quirked. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Aeran, and I'm looking for a good battle."
"Well you didn't have to wreck our camp,'' May replied.
"yeah, ever heard of e-mail?" Nick snapped.
"Well, i challenge you."
Tani stepped up. Aeran grinned.
"Be warned, Dragonite's level is beyond that of even an Orange League Champion!"
"Whoa!!" the girls cried. "then you must be a really good trainer!"
"Not exactly," Aeran scratched his head. "i actually just started to days ago. My uncle lent him to me and gave it strict orders to obey me. I'll be a champion in a month! Pretty smart, huh,?" Tani clenched her fist. Fertility felt her agression and stepped a few feet behind her.
"Smart!?" she thundered. "That's cowardice if you ask me. Real champions raise and bond with their own pokemon. They don't borrow another's just as a get-known-quick scheme. I bet you don't even one pokemon of your own yet!"
"I don't" Aeran put back on his dopey grin.
"You talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? Come on, the battle begins!" The trainers eyed each other from across the grassy feild. Intense, ain't it?
"I'll be the ref" May said.
"Right. Okay Fertility, let's show this wobuffoon how real trainers and their pokemon work together!" Fertility smiled and marched in front of Tani.
"Razor leaf!" Tani yelled.
"OK!" Fertility let loose a barrage of her sharpest leaves. The dragonite just stood there.
"hey, aren't you gonna move?" Tani shouted. Aeran smiled. As soon as the leaves hit the dragon, they bounced right of its chest.
"Looks like your bulbasaur lost its edge, heheh. Dragonite, slam it!" Before anyone could react, the dragonite raced acrossed the field and picked Fertility up by her bulb.
"Tani!" she cried. Before Tani could give a command, the beast slammed Fertility into the ground. The bulbasaur layed motionless.
"Ferty!" Raichu yelled.
"Sorry, but Fertility's out of the match," May said sadly.
"Oh, Fertility" Tani wrapped her in a blanket and gave her some potion.
"Don't... give..up" Fertility grunted.
"What?" Tani couldn't believe she was trying to talk.
"Show that wannabe what true trainers are." Fertility fell asleep under the drowsiness of the potion.
"Ready to surrender?" Aeran quirked. "If you want, send out three pokemon. it'll be a bit more entertaining." He laughed and snorted. Tani twisted her nose.
"Geez, you're corny. Game, Queenie, Jet, go get em!" Tani hurled her three pokeballs. The team appeared in flash of brilliant light.
"Cue,CUBONE!""NIDO!""HOOOUNDDOUR!" The three chorused. Jet turned to Tani.
"i don't need help from these clowns" he growled. Tani shook her head
"You don't know how much you do. Act as a team guys!"
"Okeedokee" Queenie winked. Cubone only nodded. Jet just blew a puff of smoke.
"Ok," Tani said.
"Jet, a direct flamethrower, Queenie, aim your poison sting at the wings, and Game, focus on clobbing its head with your bone club. GO!" The pokemon charged. Dragonite stood in a fighter's stance, ready for the impact.
"Dour!" Jet realeased a river of fire which became a vapor of steam after the dragon countered with a water gun. It disposed of Jet with its own flamethrower.
"Try this!'' Queenie snarled. She spun franctically releasing dozens of the poison needles. With a one swipe of his paw, the dragon knocked the pins to the ground. Its eyes suddenly glowed. Glare! Queenie was paralyzed on the spot.
"BONE!" Forgot about cuebone? Game flew threw the air, his bone raised well above his masked face.
"Not today," Aeran snickered. Dragonite grabbed the little skulled dinosaur in midair. He wrapped his claws around Game's bone, squeezed, and crushed it. Game was traumatized. His main weapon, a keepsake from his mother, reduced to a pile of dust. His eyes filled with tears.
"Cuuuuu!bbbbbonne!" he moaned.
"oh, Game," Tani whispered. "Everyone, return!" In a flash of red light the pokemon disappeared.
"oooh, what a cliff hanger!'' the boy was laughing histerically.
"What am i gonna do?" Tani thought. She felt a tug at her leg. It was Riley.
"Hey? Remember you still got us!" he said cheerfully. "Send me and rabbit girl out!" He was refering to Ebony. Ebony smiled.
"I think we're gonna need Vaporeon."
"Go for it" Tani said. The amulet on Ebony's head glowed. In a flash of white light, a Vaporeon stood wear the eevee once was.
"Oh so, ya want some more? Bring it on! Dragonite's invincible!" "We'll see. Riley, Ebony, go!"
The pokemon leaped into action, Riley went Kung-fu style.
"Ya like that?" he winked. Ebony rolled her eyes.
"Ebony ice beam, Riley thunderbolt!"
"RAICHUUUUU!"
"VAPOOR!"
They unleashed a chain of blue vapor and yellow electricity.
"Fly!" Aeran commanded. The dragon took to the sky, narrowly missing the onslaught of energy. It landed behind its attackers and extended its arms to grab them.
"Whoa, guys look out!" May yelled. Using their agility, the duo escaped the dragons grasp.
"Hey" Aeran growled.
" The ref's not supposed to take sides!"
"Sorry," May sighed. Tani was sweating heavily. We need to get it of guard she thought.
"Ebony, Riley, agility double team combo!" Riley and Ebony began multiplying rapidly and their copys began running around at dizzying speeds. Dragonite looked from pokemon to pokemon obviously confused. It stomped the ground only to find it had crushed a fake.
"Got em" Tani smiled.
"Ebony, Bubblebeam!" From out of no where a blizzard of bubbles pounded dragonites face. It wailed in pain. The real raichu ran up behind the beast
"MegaKick!" The electric mouse kicked the dragon with its hard hind feet.
"Enough of this." Aeran's eye's narrowed. "Dragonite, HYPERBEAM!" The dragon took to the sky. He slowly opened his mouth revealing a glowing ball of energy.
"Oh, no" Tani gasped. "Guys get out of there!" Riley sprang into the air. But the Dragonite unleashed the powerful beam of light. It struck the ground with tremendous force. A shockwave flowed through the ground knocking May and her pokemon to the ground. As quickly as it struck, it was over just as fast. The dust settled. On the field along with some charred grass was an eevee barely twitching.
"Ebony!" Tani cried.
Tani dropped to her knees. May shook her head.
"I guess this match goes to...hey where's Riley?"
"Ebony!" Everyone looked up. Riley descended from the sky. He had used the force of his long tail to jump and avoid the attack. Tani had shown him that maneuver from a certain television show. Riley scampered over to Ebony.
"Poor kid..."he murmured. He turned to Tani. "Hey you said that medicine is supposed to make me better and stronger right? Well, let put it in to action!" Tani smiled.
"Right! This isn't over Aeran. This is how real trainers win. Riley, THUNDER!" The raichu showed a toothy grin.
"Raiiiiiii...CCHHUUUUU!" he roared. The small rodent unleashed an intense amount of electric energy which encased the dragon pokemon.
"Yeah! Yeah! Huh?" Tani looked over in awe. Dragonite didn't look like it was in pain. Why were its antenaes raised? Then it sunk in. Dragonite was absorbing all the electricity!
"Raichu stop! No more!" Riley stopped his attack, exhausted.
"Ha, bet ya didn't expect that." Aeran ran his fingers through his spiky hair. "Dragonite end this big. OUTRAGE!" A dragon's ultimate attack. Dragonite closed its eyes and began to glow. The energy would be released any moment.
"Riley i have to recall you!" Tani cried. "I don't want you hurt too!"
"Let him fight!" a voice wailed. Tani whirled around.
"Huh? Fertility? Wait, you're asleep!"
"Just watch..." Fertility's voice faded. Tani turned to the raichu.
"Riley?" Riley was glowing a brilliant blue. His eyes looked totally focus. Tani quickly checked her pokedex: The Chu Family Special Attack, one of the many Pokemon Family Attacks, No specific information.
"Tani!" Riley yelled, "This is for you, Ferty and Ebony!" Suddenly Riley took the sky like a white lightning bolt. "Chu Blue Lightning Strike!" Riley screamed. Riley was literally on a crash course with Dragonite. At that moment Dragonite unleashed its energy. The two powers collided with explosive results. The force of the explosion blew everyone from the battle field at least ten feet. Tani scooped up Ebony and Fertility in the confusion and hit the ground. Aeran and May fell into the brook with wigglytuff in her arms. Nick was the one to retrieve them this time. The debris settled slowly. Everyone waited impatiently to see the last Mon standing. The last dust cloud vanished revealing the victor. There Riley stood dizzyly on top of dragonite's sparking body. Only one of its antenae twitched.
"The winner is..." May began. "Riley!" Nick finished and waved his leaf triumphantly.
"Riley!" Tani squealed with delight. Ebony and Fertility had regained conscienceness in the confusion. The three raced over to their friend. Looking dazed, Riley tumbled off of Dragonite.
"Rai?"
"Oh Riley" Tani hugged her little friend.
"You were so awesome. What was that?" "uh..."
"A family special," Fertility explained. "All evolving pokemon families have an attack only they can use. Only Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu can use Chu Blue Lightning Strike. However pokemon are only able to tap into this power in extreme situations. Only the best trainers can get their pokemon to use it without draining their energy. I guess Riley got the wind knocked out of him."
"Wow," Tani remarked. "You're really smart Fertility. What's your family special." Fertility blushed. " Um, well, I don't know." Tani laughed. "I think the eevee family has some kind of multi-elemental attack or something" Ebony said while scratching her head. Riley shook off his confusion.
"Pretty impressive, huh? What do you think of me now?" He tried to flex a muscle in his tiny arm. Ebony smiled.
"Sorry, but i don't date co-workers." She licked Tani on the cheek and walked off to check on May and the others.
"Dragonite, return" Aeron said in a somber voice. Tani grinned.
"Well i guess we CAN walk the walk, huh Mr. champion-in-a-day?" Aeran's eyes filled with tears.
"YOU! I'll show you! I-I'll borrow my other uncle's pokemon! Then you'll be sorry! You dummies!" Then he shot off, crying all the way.
"And your hair looks like a Sandslash on crack!" Nick yelled after him. May gave him a look.
"What?" He strutted off. "Well, Tani, what do you wanna do now?" May asked. Tani sat rubbed Fertility's head.
"I think we better head to the Pokemon Center. Then we can celebrate our latest victory at the all you can eat buffet." She grabbed something off the ground and grinned. "Looks like Mr. Champion was so impressed that he dropped 3000 chips (money)!" They smiled and made their way to the next town.
An Eevee-ning To Remember part1

*Yello! This is yet another adventure of female trainer Tani Amps and her
friend May Flowers. If you don’t remember them or their teams, refer back to
my other story, the Great Dragonite Fight! And remember, Pokemon talk in this
story. Enjoy!
Whoa! What an exciting three months it had been for Tani Amps and
fellow trainer May Flowers. The two fiery femme fatales had been making a name
for themselves as they traveled through the Johto region. So far, they each had
conquered the first two gyms. May had beaten Falkner by surprising him with
Psyduck’s Ice Beam and Wigglytuff’s (now named Wendy) relentless
double-slapping. Also in Violet city, she had traded her Ghastly for a
well-raised Gloom. Tani defeated Falkner easily using Riley the Raichu’s
electric attacks against Pidgeot and Queenie the Nindorina’s poison stings
against any other flying types. When they arrived in Azalea town, Tani
devastated gym leader Bugsy using Jet the Houndour’s powerful flamethrower and
had Ebony the Eevee shape-shift to a hot Flareon. May won claimed the Hive
badge just as quickly using a combination of Gloom’s Sleep Powder and Strike’s
(aka, Spearow) ferocious pecking. As they traveled through the Ilex Forest,
Psyduck and Strike gained enough experience to evolve into Golduck and Fearow.
Now the two divas were in Goldenrod City where May had just won her third gym
victory using her strongest and first Pokemon, Nick, the smart alec Chikorita
and Butters the Butterfree. May’s battle was great, but now it was Tani’s go
at the Goldenrod Plain Badge.
“Clefairy, Charm attack!†Whitney the Goldenrod Gym Leader yelled.
“Fairwy!†Clefairy clapped its hands and sent out a barrage of hearts at the
opposing Pokemon. “Roll to the side and avoid those hearts, Fertility!†Tani
shouted out to her Pokemon partner. Fertility, a bulbasaur and Tani’s first
Pokemon, got on her belly and rolled under the cute attack. “Now Tackle it!â€
Tani again yelled. Fertility charged at Clefairy and knocked it halfway
across the ring. Whitney stamp her foot. “You’re asking for it!†The gym
leader smiled slyly. “Clefairy, Metronome.†The Clefairy got up and began to
wave its fingers back and forth. “Uh, Tani, what’s it doing?†Fertility backed
up slightly. Suddenly Clefairy’s hands became engulfed in flames. It pointed
towards Fertility. “Fire Blast!†Whitney yelled. The flames grew bigger and
bigger. “Tani!†Fertility yelled. “Fertility, strategy B-46!†Tani commanded.
“What in the Johto world does that mean?!†Fertility called back. “That Vine
Whip move!†Tani said sighing. Clefairy blasted a gigantic blazing Japanese
Fire symbol at Fertility. Fertility charged at the attack head on. Just a few
feet away from colliding with it, Fertility twirled out her whips and smacked
the ground, sending her high into the air. The attack missed its target and
collided into a wall and disintegrated. Fertility descended from the sky,
flattening Clefairy with her Body Slam. “Fairrwwy…†Clefairy cried. “Oh,
boo!†Whitney pouted. “Cleffie, return. You did your best.†Tani laughed
confidently. “Do your worse!†she taunted. “Fertility can take anything!â€
“Let’s go, Ferty, let’s go!!†Ebony and Riley cheered from the sidelines. “Oh,
I’ll do my worse,†Whitney said pulling out another pokeball. “Miltank, go!â€
she called as a white light emerged from the pokeball. It landed on the ground
with a loud thump. “Miltank!†she bellowed happily. “Hey Tani, we’re gonna have
to be on our guard,’’ Fertility growled. Tani nodded. Miltank’s eyes were big
and twinkled like stars. She knew it was in great shape despite the bulky
appearance. “It’s time to end my losing streak and your winning streak!â€
Whitney announced. “Miltank, Stomp!†Miltank began to hop up and down
repeatedly, shaking the whole gym. Tani and her Pokemon struggled to stay on
their feet. Riley had to get down on all fours to avoid falling on Ebony. As
Fertility stumbled back and forth, Whitney saw her chance. “Miltank, Rollout!â€
she shouted. Miltank leapt into the air and curled into a ball. The cow Pokemon
landed and sped toward Fertility with amazing speed. Before she could react,
Miltank hit Fertility in smack-dab in the forehead and knocked her clear across
the ring. She landed against a wall. “Fertility, I think you need to take a
rest. I’ll send Cubone out,†Tani said reaching for her pokeball. Fertility
rubbed her head. “No, I’m fine,†she mumbled. “But,†“Tani, I’m fine,†she
repeated winking. The Miracle Seed around her neck began to wiggle back and
forth. Then Tani noticed a glowing light coming from Fertility’s bulb. Tani
smiled. “Right!†Whitney shrugged her shoulders. “It’s your loss. Miltank,
finish with another Rollout!†The rolling Pokemon made a U-turn and headed
straight for the Bulbasaur. Tani stood firm. “Wait for it…†she muttered.
Suddenly the glow in Fertility’s bulb reached its maximum brightness.
“Fertility, SOLARBEAM!!†she yelled. “SAUR!!†Fertility arched her back and
fired the blast of sunlight with Miltank only inches away. The light engulfed
the poor Pokemon and sent her flying. Miltank landed in one smoking pink heap.
Whitney couldn’t believe it. “No! That was my best Pokemon!†she exclaimed.
She raised her pokeball and recalled Miltank. Ebony and Riley ran over to their
trainer. “That was amazing!†Ebony squealed. Riley slapped Fertility on the
back. “Chu, Ferty! You’re one tough lizard!†Fertility blushed. Tani picked her
up. “That’s right! Fertility’s the toughest whippin’ Pokemon ever!†“Ahem!†The
celebrating quad looked over. Whitney reached into her pocket and pulled out a
shiny badge. She extended her arm to Tani. “Ya know I’m still mad I lost,†she
said smiling, “but you really earned this. I proudly present to you the Plain
Badge.†Tani received her award with trembling hands. “Thank you, but the real
credit goes to Fertility. I wouldn’t have had a chance without her!†Fertility
was turning redder than a Charizard. “A pleasure battling you,†Whitney
complimented. “Next time will be different.†Tani smiled and exited the gym.
May, Nick, and Wendy were waiting on a bench outside. “So, how’d it
go?’’ May asked impatiently. Tani flashed her badge. “Wow!†May clapped her
hands. “Your battle didn’t last nearly as long as mine!†“She probably just
grabbed to badge and ran,†Nick snickered. Wendy bonked him on the head. “Be
polite!†the Wigglytuff hushed him. Grumbling, Nick lowered his leaf over his
head. Tani scratched her head. “What’s his problem?†“Oh, Nick? He just upset
that he still hasn't evolved yet.' May scooped Nick up. 'Hey! I know something
that will cheer you up.' She elbowed Tani. 'Should we tell them?' she
whispered. Tani nodded. Reaching into her belt sack, she pulled out her other
three pokeballs. 'Come on out guys!' she yelled. Swish! Jet, Queenie, and Game
(the Cubone) popped out beside Riley, Ebony, and Fertility. Jet yawned and
nibbled his leg. 'This better be important,' he said nibbling his leg. Queenie
hushed him with a quick scratch. 'You guys too!' May said tossing her other
four balls. Golduck, Butters, Gloom, and Strike appeared in a commotion, each
chanting their names. 'Chikaa' Nick sighed looking at his evolved comrades.
May patted him and sat him down. The trainers moved their Pokemon to the
vacant part of sidewalk. 'OK guys, here's the deal,' Tani and May smiled
simultaneously. 'If you were the first Pokemon of either of us, raise your paw,
or heel, or wing, or whatever.' After a moment of silence, a confused Chikorita
raised his heel, followed by Fertility's clawed paw. Tani bent down. 'That's
right! You two were our first Pokemon partners!' 'And' Nick said still totally
lost. 'It's our 3 month anniversary!' May squealed picking up Nick and swinging
him in the air. His leaf waved in the breeze. 'And to celebrate we're going to
spend the rest of the day at the Goldenrod Garden Nursery!' The puzzled faces
of the Pokemon were replaced with big glowing grins (except for Game, you can't
see his face!). Jet blew a puff of smoke. 'Oh yeah, that.' The other Pokemon
began a chorus of happy chants and squabbles. People passed by with odd
expressions on their faces, wondering what could possibly excite them so.
Fertility leaped into Tani’s lap, knocking her down. “Thank you, thank you
Tani! Bulba! Bulba!†she was so excited she couldn’t talk straight. Tani
laughed. May and Nick were still spinning. Ebony was wagging her tail but
suddenly stop. The little Eevee slowly approached Tani and tugged at her leg.
“Uh, Tani?†Tani stopped wrestling with her Bulbasaur. “Yeah, Ebony?†Ebony
lowered her long ears. “Um, you didn’t mean the entire day, did you?’’ “Of
course silly! All day sniffing flowers, romping around in an artificial meadow!
I bet you can’t wait!†“But…†Ebony began. “Hey, Tani!†May called. She was on
her Fearow’s back with Nick. “Let’s get going! I’m carrying my Pokemon in their
balls!†Nick looked over Fearow’s wing. “Last one there’s a rotten Eggsecute!â€
May flew off. Tani and her Pokemon chased after them through the crowds in
street. Sighing, Ebony reluctantly followed.
It was huge. The nursery was contained in a gigantic glass dome.
Trainers were walking in and out, most of them with grass-type Pokemon. Before
entering Tani noticed a sign. It read: WELCOME TO GOLDENROD CITY NURSERY. A
PEACEFUL HAVEN FO ALL TRAINERS AND POKEMON. IF YOU ARE ENTERING WITH BUG, FIRE,
POISON, OR ICE TYPE POKEMON, PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL NOT TO HARM TO OUR
SPECIMENS OF FLORA. Tani gave Jet a stern look. "Relax," he yawned. "It's not
like I'm gonna torch the place." He moseyed on in and claimed his spot under a
fruit tree, growling at other people and Pokemon that came to close. Fertility
and Nick ran in and excitedly sniffed every flower they came across. Fearow
decided on a perch in Jet's tree and settled down for a nap while Butters
nibbled on the fruit. Golduck and Wendy joined some other Pokemon in a
makeshift stream and Gloom enjoyed a happy watering along with a Sunflora and
Bellsprout. As Riley was getting high off some Pokenip, Game gathered some
fruit, tied it to his club, and went off to be alone. No one had seen where
Ebony went. May and Tani watched happily as the Pokemon interacted with the
other humans and Pokemon. There were so many trainers! If they weren't sniffing
flowers or snapping pictures, they were trading. Under a couple of traders,
Queenie spotted a pretty bluebell flower. She gently plucked it and raced back
to Tani to show her the discovery, careful not to knock over other trainers. By
the time the Nidorina reached Tani, a boy had approached the two and tapped May
on the shoulders. They turned around. It’s safe to say May and Tani's hormones
went off balance. The two friends stared in awe at the person. Before them
stood a handsome boy their age. He was tall and slender but quite athletic
looking. His hair was light blue a cut short but was hung straight down. He had
a yellow handkerchief around his neck, much like Freddie from Scooby Doo. Tani
and May's jaws dropped. Queenie shook her head. "You ought to be ashamed of
yourselves," she whispered. Suddenly there was a rustle through a rose bush. A
slick Nidorino emerged from the bush and sat next to the boy. He too had a
yellow hankie. This time it was Queenie's jaw who hit the floor, releasing her
flower. She straightened the Pink Bow around her neck. "Now who's ashamed?"
Tani giggled. The boy turned to May and introduced himself. "My name's Zeke and
this is my Poke-partner, Rex." "Raa!" The Nidorino grunted hello. Zeke pulled
out a Pokeball. "I was wondering if you would like to trade your Chikorita. It
looks really energetic and I'd be happy to trade my Beedrill." After clearing
her head of a few fantasies, May shook her head. "Sorry. Nick was my first
Pokemon. I'd never give him up. Besides, bees creep me out." Zeke smiled. "I
understand." He looked down. Queenie was making goo-goo eyes at Rex. Tani
giggled. "I think my Nidorina has a crush on Rex!" Zeke nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. Rex is a real ladiesmen! Oh! I almost forgot to let Espeon out!" He took
out another Pokeball. "You have an Espeon?" Tani asked curiously. "Hey! I bet
my Eevee would love to meet it! Hey Ebony!" Tani looked around as she called
out. Ebony was no where in sight. She scratched her head. "That's odd. May,
Queenie, have you seen Ebony?" They both shook their heads no. Tani looked over
her shoulder. Fertility, Riley, and Nick were watching some Bellossum perform.
Tani whistled for them. When they arrived, Nick stared Zeke and Rex up and
down. He nudged Riley. "Check out the pretty boys," he cracked. Riley
snickered. "Yeah, yellow ain't their color," he whispered back, rubbing his own
red bandana. May rolled her eyes. "That's another reason I can't trade. Nick
has a problem, uh, expressing his opinions. The Pokemon laughed. "What did you
want Tani?" Fertility asked. "You look worried.Have you guys seen Ebony?"
Riley scratched his head. "I think I saw her n the corner by some azaleas.
Hm. I wonder why fox girl's being so distant?"
"Well let's go see," Tani said
picking up her Raichu. Fertility followed. Nick remained with May and continued
to tease Zeke. Rex tackled him.
The trio found Ebony crouched under an azalea bush, sorrowfully
batting at her Amulet headband that was given to her by her old trainer. Riley
squirmed out of Tani's arms. "Hey foxy rabbit!" he called. "We've been looking
for ya!" Ebony looked up. Her eyes had lost their twinkle. They were wide and
filled with tears. Tani reached down and scooped her up. "Ebony? What's the matter?"
Fertility used her vine to wipe away a tear running through her fur.
"Eeevvee" Ebony sighed. She looked up at Tani. She sniffed. "I didn't want to ruin Fertility and Nick's day!" she sobbed. Tani looked confused. "What do you mean?"
"Yeah! Spit it out!" Riley hopped up and down rapidly on his tail.
Fertility rolled her eyes. "You've sniffed your last Pokenip, mouse." she
remarked. Ebony shook her head. "You see, this is the same nursery. This is
where my trainer and I were separated. This is where IT started." Her eyes
began to flood again. Tani rocked her little friend. "Aah, Ebony, I had no
idea." Ebony whimpered. CLICK! Tani had a brilliant idea. She raised the Eevee
in the air.
"Hey, I know! This is the city you first got lost in, right? Maybe your trainer still lives here! Tomorrow we'll spend the entire day looking for
her!"
Ebony's ears perked up. "Really? You'd do that for me? But-but I'm your secret weapon! You know I can change to my other egos at will!"
Tani shrugged.
"So? I'm only happy if you're happy.
Ebony's eyes dried and she began to wag
her tail. "Oh, Tani, I gotta tail ya something else-" Before she could finish,
someone interrupted. "Hey Tani!" It was May and Zeke calling. Zeke waved his
hand. "Some guy's showing off a 6ft Leaf Stone! We're gonna see if it's real."
Queenie was still following Rex. "Hurry up Slowpokes!" Nick yelled. Tani tied
the Amulet back on Ebony's head. "Let's go guys!" she said holding Ebony in her
arms. "Wait! I don't think" Ebony protested. "Oh come on!" Tani and her
Pokemon forced their way to the front of the crowd. They stood before an
enormous stone. "Now that is one big rock!" Riley shouted. "Saurr" Fertility
agreed. Suddenly the Leaf Stone began to glow. The crowd gasped. All the
trainers wondered what it could be reacting to. No grass type had even touched
it. Ebony had began to fidget in Tani's arms. She began to growl and twitch.
"Ebony, what's wrong with you?!" Tani could barely keep her grasp on the
Pokemon. Ebony began to yell frantically. "No! I don't wanna go back! Don't let
it happen again! Stop! Please! EEVEE!EEVVEE!VEE!" her speech became slurred and
incomprehensible. Game, who had been off by his lonesome for a while now,
peered from behind a rock, wondering what all the fuss was about. He listened
carefully to Ebony's seemingly meaningless chatter. His eyes widened through
his skull mask. "Tani!!" his scratchy voice shouted as he waved his bone club.
"Get Ebony away from that stone NOW!" Too late. Ebony's Amulet began to glow,
followed by her whole body. Tani couldn't hold on any longer. She dropped Ebony
and watched in amazement as the figure grew. She wasn't morphing into one of
her alternate evolutions was she? Soon the white glow disappeared, revealing
the Pokemon. In the Eevee's place stood and unfamiliar Pokemon. It had golden
hay colored fur and a collar of palm -like leaf blades around its neck. Its
tail looked like a large fern and a four-petal flower sat atop its head. Its
ears looked like blades of grass and its once sparkling black eyes had been
replaced with piercing red eyes. The visitors of the nursery stared wide-eyed.
"What is it?" May asked, her Pokedex not responding. The Pokemon threw back its
head. "LILLIEON!" it shrieked.
The nursery was still in shock at the arrival of this mysterious
Pokemon. Riley cocked his head. “Eb? Ebony?†He got down on all fours and
cautiously approached the Pokemon. The Lillieon grinned at the approaching
Raichu. Suddenly its tail fern shot out, revealing a long vine. With lightning
speed, it ensnared Riley and tossed him directly into Fertility. As the two
struggled to get up, Lillieon again ensnared them, this time slamming them
against a tree and tossing them into the stream. Tani was speechless as a man
tapped her on the shoulder. "Young lady, I suggest you recall your Pokemon!"
he suggested. Tani nodded and whipped out Ebony's Pokeball. "Ebony, Return!"
she commanded. Smiling, the Pokemon swiftly leapt onto the Leaf Stone, easily
avoiding the pokeball's red beam. It looked down over the crowd grinning
menacingly. Suddenly the leaf blades around its neck began to spin rapidly. A
fierce wind was created, blowing plants from their roots and knocking people
and Pokemon over. During the chaos, all the trainers began to recall their
Pokemon one by one. Soon only Riley, Fertility, Queenie, Nick, Wendy and Rex
remained out.
"I'm calling Officer Jenny!" someone shouted. Before a move could be made, Lilliemon arched its back. Dozens of razor sharp leaves flew from its
spinning collar. A panic of people stampeded like Tauros out of the nursery in
hopes of avoiding the slicing leaves.
"Tani, duck!" May shouted.
Tani did so
just as a leaf whizzed by her, nicking her cheek. Fertility saw the small the
drip of blood. Her eyes narrowed.
"Bulba! Bulbasaur!" she bellowed in raged
and charged toward the leaf stone.
"Lillie, Lillie!" the grass-type cackled.
The flower on its head began to glow. Somehow gathering the energy in just a
matter of seconds, Lillieon fired an enormous Solarbeam hurling the Pokemon
against the wall. The blast had left Fertility totally charred along with some
plants. Tani struggled to her feet.
"Ebony! It's me, Tani! What's the matter
with you?!"
Lillieon grinned and tossed off the Amulet. It threw back its head
and laughed, as if making fun of the onlookers. It jumped off the stone and
crashed through a glass window. Taking to the streets, Lillieon raced off,
knocking over anyone in its path. May and Zeke were just getting to their feet.
Riley helped Fertility up and checked on the others.
"Hey, Tani? You okay?"
Zeke asked extending his hand. Tani just stared holding Ebony's Amulet
headband.

And now the third installment of The Great Dragonite Fight and An
Eevee-ning to Remember Part 1
Tani clenched Ebony's headband as Zeke helped her up. She looked
around as she got to her feet. The nursery was a total wreck. It
looked as if a Gyrados had rampaged through there. Glass was
scatter all over the ground. Trees and plants were uprooted. The
stream had stopped running after the blast and even a few flames
flickered here and there. Beep. Great. Now the sprinklers were set
off. Tani was still speechless when Fertility and Riley came
bounding toward her. "Tani are you alright?" they asked in unison.
Tani bent down and rubbed there heads. "I'm fine but you guys look a
mess!" she said as she looked at Fertility's charred and half wilted
bulb. Riley grunted as he tried to move a little closer to
Tani. "Nah!" he said trying to sound macho. "We're as right as
rain!" He waved his little arms in the air. Tani heard a bone pop.
She shook her head. "You guys need some medical attention." she said
looking up. May came walking toward her with Wendy limping behind.
She had Nick in her arms. His eyes were half opened and his leaf was
slightly browned. He wasn't moving. "My gosh what happen?!" Tani
asked running up to them. "He got caught in the center of the Solar
Beam just a few feet from Fertility." Wigglytuff explained in her
high pitched voice. Zeke took the Chikorita from May's arms. "Okay
first we need to get these guys to the Pokemon center," he said in a
leader like voice. He whistled for Rex. Rex approached him with
Queenie at his side. Zeke nodded. "Then we should…" his orders were
cut off by a loud siren. May perked up. "That's Officer Jenny!" she
grabbed her hair and rubbed it frantically. "If she finds out it was
one of our Pokemon who caused this not only will we be responsible
for paying for the damage but our Pokemon licenses will be taken
away!" Zeke thought for a moment and snapped his fingers. "Out the
back. "he said. "I've visited here before and there's an emergency
exit out back. Come on." They all agreed and recalled all their
Pokemon, though Fertility and Riley wanted to refuse. They escaped
out the back just as Officer Jenny's motor bike stopped outside the
front door.
"My goodness what happened to all these Pokemon?!" Nurse Joy
exclaimed as she looked at May, Tani, and Zeke's Pokemon. "They were
caught up in Nursery Disaster." Tani said quietly. Nurse Joy pressed
down on a button and talked into a speaker. "Chancey, Blissey I need
6 stretchers out here, one for small electric types, two wilting
grass types, two poison types, and a small normal type." Almost
immediately four Chanceys and two Blisseys rushed out through the
double doors inside the Pokemon Center. They took Fertility and the
others from the trainers and placed them on the stretchers. "Chancey
Chancey!" Chancey chanted to the nurse. Nurse Joy nodded and watched
them take the Pokemon into the emergency rooms. She turned to Tani
and the others. "Your Pokemon are very hurt and need a lot of rest.
It'll be a few hours before they are fully healed, but you're free
to spend the rest of the night here. "She bent down and looked at
Tani face. She noticed the cut on her face. "I think you all should
have your wounds looked at too." She smiled and put a bandade on her
face. "We'll with you in a minute." "Thank you," Tani replied and
bowed slightly. They left and went into the waiting area. May
noticed a remote and cut on the Center's television. "The news is
on," Zeke said puzzled. "What's so odd about that?" May asked. Zeke
tapped his watch. "It's only 7 o'clock. This isn't news time." Tani
nodded in agreement and looked at the screen. A news reporter
appeared and began to speak. "This is Terry Secrea reporting live in
the streets of Goldenrod. A mysterious Pokemon has appeared and has
done nothing but wreak havoc since its arrival." Shots of the Game
Corner were shown. Slot machines were smashed and smoking, some
people were even looting from the haywire machines. Windows were
shattered and seats sliced in half. A few homes had been bashed into
and even the base of the Radio tower had suffered damage. The news
reporter then showed a few blurred pictures of the Pokemon. "It has
been confirmed that this is some renegade grass type, but the
specific species has not been determined. Please if you see this
Pokemon stay away as it is very aggressive and dangerous." Suddenly
there was a loud explosion behind the reporter. "What the?!" Ms.
Secrea yelled into her mike. The camera man rushed out to
her. "Ma'am, the Pokemon is here! We're in a dangerous area!" he
said to her. The reporter clenched her fist. "Great!" she
yelled. "This will definitely boost our ratings!" She laughed
insanely. "Not on my watch!" Officer Jenny said appearing out of no
where. "This is a restricted area and all civilians need to evacuate
immediately!" As she tried to shoo the camera crew away another
officer appeared. "Ma'am the Pokemon seems bound toward the park!"
he stated. "Cut it off with the Growlithe patrol!" Officer Jenny
ordered. There was another explosion in the background and a loud
shriek. Something suddenly crashed into the camera man and the TV
went blank. Tani, May, and Zeke sat staring at the screen. "What
have I done?" Tani whispered staring at the blank screen. "It's not
your fault," May said comforting. "You didn't know Ebony would
evolve like that." "But how do we stop it?" Zeke mumbling. Tani
looked up. "You're gonna help us?" she asked quite surprised. "But
why?" Zeke smiled. "Why not? That thing hurt Rex and my other
Pokemon too you know. Besides, I think we can call ourselves friends
now, right?" Tani and May smiled in unison. May suddenly snapped her
fingers. "Prof. Oak!" she peeped happily. She took Tani by the hand
and dragged her over to a private Vid-Phone. "You can call Prof. Oak
Tani! If anyone knows how to stop a renegade Pokemon it's definitely
him!" Zeke looked at them puzzled. "You two know THE Prof. Oak?" he
asked. Tani nodded. "Yes. He's good friends with my aunt and May's
father. He gave me my Bulbasaur. May waited until we got to New Bark
Town to get her Chikorita." "Wow," Zeke commented. He blushed
slightly. "Guess you can't judge a book by its pretty cover. I just
thought you two were just some other wannabe girl-trainers trying to
follow a trend!" he laughed nervously and scratched his head. Tani
and May gave him an evil look. Big turn-off. Tani turned to the Vid-
Phone, first dialed COLLECT and then Prof. Oak's number.
"RING RING RING, RING RING RING, PHONE CALL! PHONE CALL!
RING RING RING!!" the Vid-Phone rang out. "I'm coming, I'm coming!"
Prof. Oak yelled out as fumbled some steaming tofu in his hands. He
grabbed the phone with one hand and held a bowl and some chopsticks
in the other. "Hello?" he answered. The phone screen clicked on.
Tani appeared on it. Prof. Oak smiled. "Ah, hello Tani! Long time no
see? Is May there? How's your aunt?" May appeared to the left of
Tani and waved into the screen. "Hey Oaky!" she called. She had a
habit of calling him Oaky for some odd reason. Prof. Oak clicked on
the speaker button. "So what's been going on with you two?" he asked
shoving some tofu into his mouth. "Any… problems… training?" he
questioned between chews. Tani shook her head. "Uh, sir, are you
aware of the crisis in Goldenrod?" she asked. Pro. Oak
swallowed. "Why yes. From what I can tell from the photos faxed to
me a Lillieon has attacked. Why? Are you in the city?" He picked up
another bit of tofu. Tani's eyes widened. "Yes we're here! You know
about Lillieons?!" The professor wiped his mouth and sat down his
bowl. "Yes. They are a very rare species. Most of the public don't
even know they exist. In fact," he said picking up three papers. "I
only have data on only three that have lived recently. One belonged
to a man in the Orange Islands, but it was so nasty and vicious it
was put to sleep. Another once roamed right here in Pallet town, but
without a proper mate, it simply died without reproducing. The last
one belonged to a young girl around the age of seven. They lived in
Goldenrod but after a visit to the Garden Nursery, the Lillieon
almost destroyed the place and both the Pokemon and the girl were
never heard from again." "Ebony…" Tani whispered. "Prof. Oak!" she
shouted into the screen. Other trainers looked at her curiously. She
lowered her voice. "I think Ebony was that Lillieon! She had told me
she was separated from her old trainer here and she had an odd
disliking for the nursery… and I saw her change into a Lillieon
earlier this evening. She's the one doing all the damage." She
closed her eyes. Prof. Oak nodded. "That makes sense. I actually
suspected it from the start. That same girl was rumored to have a
special Eevee that could evolve into its alter egos at will." He
tapped the screen and whispered. "Tani, May, do you know the legend
of the Lillieon?" he asked slyly. "No" the three trainers said in
unison, Zeke included. Wondering where on earth the boy had come
from, Prof. Oak cleared his throat. "Well, I'll tell you really
quick. Pull up a few stools kids." He warmed up some Ramen noodles
and began.
"As you know," Oak began, slurping his noodles, "Venusaur is
considered the strongest, or at least the most wanted, grass-type.
Others such as Meganium and Vileplume fall just a tad bit under
Venusaur in status. However, according to legend, this was not
always the case. A long time ago, before us humans began catching
Pokemon as a hobby, Lillieon were just as common as Weepinbell or
any other grass type. Some had evolved naturally from Eevees while
others had been exposed to excess radiation from Leaf Stones.
Anywho, the Lillieon were a very cocky bunch, and despite their
size, they were incredibly strong, abnormal for a second stage
evolution. One Lillieon was quite the boastful type. He would take
on any Pokemon, any type, to prove his power. Many opponents came,
each defeated. Even a few Charizards were beaten by this overpowered
grass-type. The Lillieon set out to defeat each of his foes and take
his place as the most powerful Pokemon in the world. Until one day a
wise, old experienced Venusaur stepped up to challenge to cocky
runt. Before the battle commenced, the Venusaur tried to explain
that it was okay to want to be strong but to be consumed by greed
and power would destroy him. He knew not only had the Lillieon
beaten all his opponents, he had also slaughtered others he had felt
were weak. These accusations angered the Lillieon and he charged at
the Venusaur. They fought an enormous battle for hours with vine
whips and razor leafs going every which way. At first the Lillieon's
speed gave him the advantage but he was soon overpowered. The
Venusaur was extremely in sync with both his animal instincts and
his plant instincts. When the fight was over, the Venusaur stood
victorious, the Lillieon extremely crippled. Though the Venusaur
knew it was not right to play with nature, he saw the evil in the
Lillieon's heart and in all the other's. Using his flower's power to
manipulate nature, he was able to absorb the energy of every
Lillieon on the planet, converting them all back to Eevees. Only a
select few that were preserved in eggs escaped the conversion.
Before the crippled Lillieon converted back to an Eevee, he swore
that he would return in another Eevee's body. Once that Eevee was
exposed to a Leaf Stone he would control its body and take his place
as the most powerful Pokemon ever again. Instead of converting back
to an Eevee, the Lillieon glowed a bright red, like the energy of a
pokeball, and shot off. Some say he pierced the energy into the
soul of an Eevee, others say it merged with the radiation of a Leaf
Stone. No one knows. Aak!! I spilled my Ramen noodles! Gotta go
kids!" Click. Prof. Oak was off the phone. Zeke, Tani, and May just
sat there. "So Ebony has an evil spirit in her or something?" Tani
said. "Oh, it's evil alright," an unknown voice answered. The three
turned around. A young girl, about the age of ten stood before them.
"Who are you?" Tani asked. The girl extended. She was
dressed simply: a brown jumper with a white shirt under it. "My name
is Lina," she said shaking Tani's hand. "I am Ebony's original
trainer." They all gasped. "You mean, YOU'RE Ebony's trainer?! The
one she got separated from?! If you still lived here why didn't you
try to find her?!" "Because it was too dangerous," a gruff voice
said coming from behind the girl. Lying on the floor was another
Pokemon Tani had never seen before. It had orange fur and a long
coiled tail like Persian's. It had three toes in the front and two
toes on each foot in the back. A diamond shaped jewel sat wedged
between its eyes and two long dagger-like teeth extended from its
mouth. "This is Nanny, my protector," Lina said introducing the
large cat like Pokemon. Zeke whipped out his Pokedex. "Smilecat
(pronounced Smile-ee-cat), the Saber-tooth cat. Evolved form of
Persian. Extremely rare Pokemon found only in the densest tropical
regions. May looked at Nanny's teeth. "Nice kitty…" she said petting
him. Nanny rolled his eyes. "I don't bite. Don't worry." Tani turned
back to Lina. "Why didn't you try to find Ebony?" she asked again.
Lina sighed. "I was only seven when I got Ebony. I know most kids
get their licenses at the age of ten but because Nanny had been with
me since birth, they made an exception. I had three other Pokemon
besides them. A Dragonaire, a Magnemite, and a Dugtrio. With them I
won many championships and contests. Ebony was especially helpful
with her shape shifting. Her amulet enabled her to do so because it
contained the radiation of all the elements in the Pokemon world.
But I never knew what would happen if the amulet was placed near a
Leaf Stone. Ebony suddenly becomes possessed or something. She
wouldn't listen to me or anything. The only way I know of stopping
the evolution is by breaking the Leaf Stone that caused the reaction
or either having Eevee gain control over the amulet. Most of the
time I was able to recall Lillieon and by being encased in a
pokeball, the amulet was able to convert her back to her old Eevee
self." Lina looked at the ground. "When Lillieon transformed three
years ago she was totally out of control. When I tried to get near
her I was nearly torn in half by her Razor Leaf. Nanny saved me.
Before I drifted off, I saw Lillieon disappear into the woods, and I
never saw her again." "Good riddance." Nanny huffed. "I liked Ebony
but that alter ego was a wild merciless creature. Even if we did
find her there was nothing we could have done." Tani slammed her
fist into the table. "Well I'm gonna do something!" she said as a
tear ran down her cheek. "Ebony's my friend and I'm not gonna lose
her."
"Chancey!" Chancey walked through the double doors with
Nurse Joy. "You're Pokemon are fully healed. Thank you for waiting!"
Nurse Joy said smiling as she handed the trainers their Pokeballs.
May released Wendy and Chikorita. "You're alright!" she squealed
happily as she scooped up Nick. The little Chikorita waved his leaf
in the air. "Never better May! A little woozy but…"he stopped short
as he spotted Zeke. "What's pretty boy still doing here?" he
smirked. Zeke sighed and released Rex. The Nidorino grunted as he
popped from the ball. After greeting his master, he waddled over to
Tani and nudged her. He wanted to see Queenie. Tani smiled. "Don't
worry Rex. She's alright. See?" She tossed three balls. Queenie,
Riley, and Fertility popped out. The Nidorina ran over to Rex and
straightened her Pink Bow. "Ya miss me Rex?" she squealed hugging
him. Tani picked up Fertility. "You okay Ferty?" she said petting
her. Fertility sighed. "Saur. I'm okay. But what about Ebony? Have
you found her yet?" Tani shook her head. Riley sat on his
tail. "Well enough idle chatting! Let's get out there and… Whoa
that's one big cat!!!!" he shrieked as he noticed Nanny. Riley shot
under Tani's legs. "My, what big teeth you have!" he said. Riley was
tough but he hated cat types. Hey, he's a mouse. So sue me. Nanny
growled. "Don't worry. Nanny won't hurt you." Lina said trying to
comfort him. Nick burst out laughing. "Nanny?! Ha! Oh that a real
tough name. Man this is one for the books!" he laughed hysterically
in May's arms, his leaf only inches away from Nanny's jaw. Nanny
grinned revealing rows of smaller but still lethal pearly whites.
Nick snapped his mouth shut. Zeke crossed his arms. "Ahem," he
coughed to get everyone's attention. "Didn't that officer on
television say Lillieon was heading toward the park? That was nearly
an hour ago so I suggest we get moving now." Tani nodded and sat
Fertility down. Riley punched the air. "Just give the orders Tani!
We wanna rescue Ebony just as much as you do!" he said smiling.
Tani nodded and headed outside. The others followed. "I choose you
Jet!" she yelled tossing a pokeball. Jet popped out of the
ball. "Dour!" he growled. He glanced at Nanny and gulped. "I'd hate
to be the dog who had to chase that cat," he muttered to
himself. "Listen up!" Tani said in a commanding like voice. "We're
on a rescue mission and are tracking a hostile, lethal opponent.
Jet, Riley, I want you two to run ahead toward the park. You guys
are fast and powerful so you can stop Lillieon from getting any
further." May and Zeke nodded at each other and each tossed a
ball. "Go Butters!" May called. "Go Flash!" Zeke said. May's
Butterfree and Zeke's Scizor popped out. "Go with them you two,"
Zeke ordered. Tani looked at him. Cool Scizor she thought. Maybe
I'll forgive him for that girly trainer remark. The Pokemon called
their names once more and dashed off. Tani turned to May. Is it okay
if Fertility and I ride Fearow with you and Nick? "No prob!" May
said. She recalled Wendy and released Strike. The giant bird
squawked and bent down allowing May and Tani to climb on. Nick
bounced on to May head while Fertility sat in Tani's lap. "Need a
ride?" May called down to Lina and Zeke. They both shook their
heads. Lina climbed onto Nanny's and gripped tightly to two tufts of
fur near his shoulders. She apparently had done this before. Zeke
tossed a ball and a bulky buy athletic looking Taurus appeared. He
climbed on his back along with Rex and Queenie. Strike flapped his
wings and took to the sky. "We'll meet you guys at the park!" Tani
called down below. Nanny and Taurus took off as if on cue. Fearow
sliced through the wind through the sky. Hold on Ebony, Tani said to
herself, clutching the amulet headband. We're coming

"Dour" Jet let out a low growl.
"Are we gettin' close?" Riley asked
as the four pokemon raced along the streets of Goldenrod. The
houndour nodded.
"Yes. I can smell her." He looked at the Scizor
running beside them.
"Flash, as quick as you can, you have to
restrain Ebony with your pincers, got it?"
"Scizor!" Flash replied.
He didn't talk human.
"But how are we gonna slow her down to do so?"
he asked, which sounded kinda like "Scizor sci sci zorsi
scizor?"
"Sleep Powder!" Butters replied, flying lower to the
ground. They nodded in agreement and raced on. They could tell
where the renegade Lilleon had been. Destroyed homes and shredded
shops and signs laid in their wake. Riley shook his head in
disbelief.
"Aw, Eb. I know this ain't you," the little raichu
mumbled.
Jet sniffed the air. "This way!" he shouted as they turned
a corner. The Goldenrod Park was near now. Only over one more paved
hill.
"What the?!" Riley squeaked as they neared the entrance to the
park. To their surprise they were greeted with a whole squadron of
Growlithes, at least five Officer Jennies, and a few more random
officers.
"What's going on here?!" Jet growled at one of the law
enforcers. At first the officer was shocked at the speech of the
houndour, but soon figured it must have eaten one of those language
tablets. He turned his nose up. "Get back to your trainers!" he
ordered. "This is a police matter." He then turned to one of the
Officer Jennies. "Ma'am, the Growlithe patrol awaits your
commands!" "Good," Officer Jenny replied, picking up her walkie-
talkie like radio. "Okay Jennies, proceed with plan 0054!" The
Jennies saluted and called out "Yes Ma'am!" at once. They turned to
the Growlithes. "Growlithe! Attack formation now!" they commanded in
unison. Suddenly the fire dogs formed a large circle, giving out low
growls, never taking their eyes off their target. Riley stood on his
tail. "Rai? Hey, it's Ebony!" he shouted. "What?!" Jet barked. No
doubt about it, the growlithes had encircled the grass type, ready
to attack. "She's surrounded," Flash muttered. "They're going to end
her rampage here and now." "I seriously doubt it," Jet
remarked. "Why's that?" Jet nodded toward the Lilleon. "Look at her
face. There's not a trace of fear on it." Indeed there wasn't. In
fact, there was a slight hint of a grin forming from the Lillieon's
mouth. The pokemon seemed cool and collected though it was in an
obviously dangerous situation. "Growlithe!" The Jennies shouted in
unison. "FLAMETHROWER!!" "GROWL!" the growlithes let out a roar as
the streams of fire poured from their mouths, aimed at the
defenseless grass type. "Ebony!" Riley yelled, running on all fours
toward the pack of growlithes, but it was too late. The attack
formed a pillar of fire, capable of being seen miles away. Riley
collapsed. "Eb! Ebony! Ya gotta be alright kid!" he cried. The head
officer wiped some sweat from her head. "It's all ov- what?!" From
the peak of the flaming pillar emerged a burst of
light. "LILLIEON!!" The pokemon screeched as she burst from the
flames. An aura of yellow light had surrounded her. "Light Screen,"
Jet growled. "That's how she survived." Lillieon smiled and stomped
the ground with one paw. Instantly the flames dissolved into the
air. "How how could it have survived?!" the officers stated in
awe. Even the growlithes were stunned. Riley looked up at the
Butterfree. "Butters! Now! Sleep Powder!" "Free!" she shouted. The
butterfree flew over the Lillieon, frantically flapping her
wings. "Lil" Ebony grinned. Flash began to run up to grab her.
Suddenly the pokemon's collar of leaves began to twirl, creating
another hazardous whirlwind. The sleep powder blew right back into
Butter's face and the others. Flash, Butters, the growlithes, and
the police collapsed to the floor snoozing. More of the dangerous
pollen floated toward Riley and Jet. "Do something Jet!" Riley
squealed anxiously shaking the houndour's neck. "Cool you jets!" the
dog snapped. Gathering some air, he blew out a flamethrower
destroying anymore of the pollen. Riley wiped his head with his
little paw and looked at the Lillieon staring them down. "Great. Now
what do we do?"
Tani and May were nestled on Strike's back as they saw the pillar of
fire disappear. "That's gotta be Ebony and the others," Tani said,
clenching a fist. Fertility looked up at her trainer. "Don't worry
Tani. We're gonna rescue her. Remember Riley and the others are
already on the scene." Tani nodded. "You're right. May, can fearow
go any faster?" May smiled in reply. "You betcha! Kick it up notch,
Strike!" "Fear!" the giant bird cawed and with a mighty flap, cut
through the sky. Nick's leaf flapped in the air as he clung to May's
shoulder for dear life. They arrived at Goldenrod Park's entrance in
a matter of seconds, landing safely. Bringing up the rear was Zeke
on his Taurus and Lina on Nanny. Queenie and Rex hopped off the bull
and ran up to Tani. "Okay, where's Ebony?" the nidorina
asked. "Right there," Zeke said pointing as he walked up to the
others. The Lillieon was slowly approaching Jet and Riley but
stopped at the sight of the newcomers. She let out a snarl. "Tani!"
Riley yelled, running up to her, followed by Jet. May looked around
concerned. She spotted Butters lying helplessly on the
ground. "Butters!" she cried, picking up her pet. Zeke also
recalled the snoozing Flash. "What happened here?" May
asked. "Lillieon turned Butters' own Sleep Powder on us," Jet
mumbled. The Lillieon grinned proudly. "Enough of this!" Tani said
approaching the pokemon. "I want Ebony back now!" She took another
step closer. "Wait!" Lina shouted. She jumped in front of
Tani. "I wanna know for myself why it's doing this." From her
pocket Lina through one of Bill's language tablets at the Lillieon's
feet. "Eat it!" she ordered. Lillieon looked at the pill and back
at the trainers. Smiling, she finally popped it in her mouth,
chewed, and swallowed. They waited. An evil smirk climbed across
her face as she opened her mouth to speak. "What can I say?" the
Lillieon hissed. "I just love a little chaos."
Tani and the others stood there, pokeballs ready. "Please," Tani
said, gritting her teeth. "Just give us Ebony back." The Lillieon
threw her head back and cackled. "That weak little toy? Please. Do
you know how hard it is to get free of that body?!" She glared at
Lina. "Every time I did that little girl somehow managed to change
me back. Oh, the humiliation!" She grinned. "Like it or not, this is
my true form! There is no Ebony! Just Lillieon!" With that her tail
vine shot out. "Scatter!" Zeke shouted. Everyone scrambled to avoid
the thrashing tail. Lillieon laughed hysterically. "Look at you!
You all scatter like roaches when the light comes on!" She whipped
her tail on the ground, smashing the concrete. "Taurus, tackle that
pokemon!" Zeke ordered. Taurus bellowed and charged at Lillieon,
horns down. Lillieon rolled her red eyes. "Please" As soon as the
bull neared, the fern like tail slithered beneath him, roping up his
legs. The tail snapped off, leaving Taurus lassoed. "Taurus!" Zeke
called, running to his pokemon. Lillieon smiled. In just a moment,
a new fern grew replacing her old tail. "She can regenerate!" May
said in awe. The evil flower type turned to her and nodded. "Why,
yes May Flowers, I can. You know what else I can do?" The flower
atop her head was glowing. Tani's eyes widened. A Solar Beam
locked dead on May. "May don't stand there! Run!!!" Tani called out
desperately. But May was fixed with fear as the glow became
suddenly bigger and brighter. "MAY!!!" Nick screamed out. The
little chikorita made a mad dash and tackled his trainer to the
ground, just as the energy blast was released. May scrambled to her
knees. "No! Nick!!" she watched in horror as the tiny pokemon was
engulfed in the attack. Fertility and Tani fell to the ground from
the force of the blast. "Bulbaaaa!!" Fertility bellowed as the
Miracle Seed around her neck began to glow. The energy beam finally
narrowed until it was no more. Dust filled the air. Lillieon stood
proudly. "Well that's one less weakling to worry about," she
smirked. "I don't think so." Everyone looked up as the debris
settled. May wiped the tears from her eyes. "Nick?!" It was Nick,
but he was no longer a chikorita. Standing boldly was a dark green
Bayleef with shining black blades and a black leaf atop his
head. "Nick! You did it! You evolved!" May squealed happily. "And
into a shiny too!" Riley blinked and then squeezed his paws. "Ha!
In your face Lillieon!" He pulled his eyelid and stuck out his
tongue. Tani laughed in joy, but then looked down at Fertility. She
was all tuckered out. Did she have something to do with this?
Lillieon snarled. "Enough of this! You all will die before the moon
sets!" "Over my dead body!" Nanny growled. The smilecat approached
Nick. "You don't stand a chance against all of us! Bring back my
trainer's eevee or prepare to be destroyed!" Riley hopped on the
bayleef's back. Rex and Queenie also appeared next to them. "We
fight together!" Queenie yelled. "Rino!" Rex repeated. One of Tani's
pokeballs shook. Game the cubone popped out, clutching his club.
Though he never showed it, his feelings for Ebony were as deep as
Riley's. Lina, Tani, Zeke, and May stood beside their pokemon. Tani
was clutching Fertility in her arms. "We want Ebony backNOW!" she
ordered. Lillieon smiled and backed up a little. "Oh what a nice
group effort," she mocked, shaking her head. "Stupid humans. Do you
not understand my power?!" Her eyes began to glow and her leaves
began to wave. The gravel around began to shake, and suddenly the
earth began to crack. "Wha-what's going on?!" May asked, hugging
Nick's neck. The ground around them began to thrash and shake. The
trainers struggled to keep their balance. Nanny placed Lina back on
his back as he dug his claws into the earth. Tani and Zeke fell to
the ground as it split. "Someone's gotta stop her!" Riley
snarled. "Riley!" Tani called. "Go for it! Try the Chu Blue
Lightning!" The raichu nodded as his body became surrounded by a
light blue aura. "Chu Blue Lightning Strike!" he screamed and took
off in a stream of pure electric energy. "Fool!" Lillieon cackled.
Instantly she fired another Solar Beam, neutralizing the attack.
Riley fell into a heap, unconscious.
"Riley" Tani muttered. The earth was still shaking from the
Lillieon's force. How could a single pokemon have so much power?!
Tani stayed low to the ground, avoiding flying debris and trying not
to fall into splitting ground. "Tani try to talk to her!" Fertility
uttered. "What do you mean?" "I know you can reach her. Just
believe in you bond of friendship, trust, and hope! You can do it
Tani!" Tani stared at the bulbasaur. Her eyes looked so caring and
wise. Just like the one from the legend. Tani nodded and struggled
to her feet on the shaking ground. She reached into her pocket and
pulled out Ebony's old amulet headband. Though wobbly, she
approached the Lillieon as cautiously as possible. "Ebony! I know
you can here me!" she shouted. The Lillieon's eyes narrowed. "I
told you! There is no Ebony!" Tani ignored the remark. "Ebony, I
know you're strong! You can fight this, this monster! You may share
one body but you don't share one spirit! Ebony! I'm here for you!
Lina is here for you! Riley, Fertility, May, Nick! All of us are
here! Just fight it, for us!!!" "Quiet!" the Lillieon snapped. It
charged up for another Solar Beam, but instead of a blast energy, a
brilliant flash of light emerged, nearly blinding them all. Tani
squinted her eyes. "Eb Ebony?!" It certainly looked like it. A
golden eevee stood before the Lillieon, her eyes burning with
passion. "I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HURT THE ONES I LOVE!!" Ebony's
voice echoed throughout the city. She tilted her head
back. "EEVEEEEEEE, SPECTRUUUUM!!!!" Images of all of eevee's
evolution swirled around her. A giant beam of every color of the
rainbow engulfed Ebony. "BLAST!" she shouted. The beam shout out in
an instant, piercing through the Lillieon, not even giving her a
chance to react. Rays of light shot through the earth as the
Lillieon gave out a horrid scream of pain. Finally, with one more
brilliant white flash, it was all over. Slowly, one by one, the
trainers and pokemon opened their eyes. The earth had closed back
up and the thrashed city of Goldenrod seemed to be restored. "Okay,
what just happened?" Nick and May asked in unison. But Tani was
silent. Lina approached her as they both looked down. Lying on the
ground was Ebony, in her old eevee body, sleeping soundly. Next to
her lay a Leaf Stone. Tani bent over and touched it, instantly it
dissolved into ashes. Lina picked up her old eevee, hugging her
tightly. She turned to Tani. "Tani. Please take good care of
Ebony. Tell her I love her and I always will." Tani looked
confused. "But don't you want her back? After you finally found
each other?" Lina smiled and shook her head. "In my heart I know
she'd be much happier with you and your friends. You have so much
more to offer her than I ever will." Before Tani could protest Lina
handed her the eevee and hopped on Nanny's back. The pokemon gave a
toothy grin and sped off, disappearing in the distant. Tani cradled
Ebony in her arms, not aware of Fertility sly smiling at her.
The Officer Jennies and their forces finally woke up after a
while. "Okay, someone better have a good explanation for all of
this!" the head officer shouted. "I'll handle this," Zeke whispered
to May and Tani. "Officers, there was a report of a Pokemon theft in
this area but the thieves put you to sleep with some Psychic
pokemon. We were passing by and woke you up." The officers
scratched their heads. "Works for us!" They said in unison. "Let's
go to Starbucks!" Tani laughed. She didn't know which was funnier.
That lame excuse or the fact that they actually bought it. Ebony
suddenly woke up. "Tani?" she said groggily. Tani
smiled. "Everything's okay now." Ebony looked around. "I dreamt
Lina was here, where," she saw Tani's expression. Instead of crying
Ebony smiled. "I understand." "Ebony!" They looked up. Riley and
Game came bounding toward them. "Don't ever worry us like that
again, kid!" Riley joked. Game just smiled. Seeing she was okay, he
returned to his pokeball. Jet did the same, but only because he was
sleepy. Queenie gave Rex a big hug. "I just love happy endings!" she
squealed to the nidorino. He grunted in return. Ebony looked up at
Nick. "Wow, someone had a growth spurt!" she said. Nick blushed
through his dark green skin. "Bay" he mumbled. Tani snapped her
fingers. "Almost forgot!" She wrapped Ebony's headband back around
her and smiled. "It's good to have you back." May put her hands on
her hips. "Well now that everything's honky-dory," she
started "Where do we go next?" Nick finished. Zeke rubbed his
chin. "How about Eucreatik City? I heard they have some cool tea
ceremonies there." Tani and May looked at him. "You mean you
wanted travel with us?" they asked. Zeke laughed. "Why not? You
guys are pretty interesting. Besides, I wouldn't wanna tear Rex
away from Queenie." Or maybe he wants to hook up with one of us,
Tani and May thought, unaware they shared the same interest. Tani
picked up Ebony on her shoulders while Fertility and Riley marched
beside her. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!" "To Infinity
and Beyond!" Ebony shouted. Riley laughed as the others
sweatdropped.
